FID, an Interior Design Firm is currently seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to provide support in our Dallas corporate office.

We are looking for an energetic and outgoing person that is a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills, great attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance and complete all tasks accurately and on time.  Previous experience with basic accounting duties and Excel required. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and respond to all email inquiries
  • Input payables into QuickBooks
  • Deliver monthly Sales Tax Report 
  • Create and update reports using Excel
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Order and schedule flooring and appliances for new construction projects
  • Process purchasing orders
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Sales departments at Camden Homes to ensure timely receipt of all flooring and appliances
  • Coordinate installation schedule with clients, vendors, builders, and installers
  • Prepare estimates and invoices for customers
  • Assist in keeping communication lines open with clients, vendors, builders, and installers
  • Keep Designer informed of all ongoing items by sending a daily report via email
  • Order samples and keep sample room organized
  • File and upkeep client records/invoices
  • Prepare tea/coffee for Designer and clients while in the office
  • May need to act as a personal assistant for Designer
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in an administrative role, required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, required
  • Previous experience or basic knowledge of QuickBooks, required
  • Previous experience with basic accounting duties, required
  • Must be self-driven and motivated
  • Must be able to take initiative and responsibility of new tasks and processes
  • Must have high level of patience
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Great attention to detail

Work Hours & Compensation

  • $13-16 per hour, based on experience
  • Part-time, 20-30 hours per week
